In the household of Lauryn Bosstick (@laurynbosstick; 1.3 million Instagram followers), podcaster and founder of 12-year-old lifestyle brand The Skinny Confidential, Valentine’s Day is a big event.
“I love Valentine’s Day because it’s a day for my husband to make it all about me,” Bosstick told Glossy. “But I’m also obsessed with the holidays for my kids. I love setting up [our dining room] table with a theme. It’s my favorite thing ever.” This year, the Bosstick family’s Valentine’s Day theme is based on the book “Madeline on the Town.” And Bosstick plans to gift her daughter, Zaza, Lip Smacker’s Original Flavored Lip Balm pack.
For the adults in her life, Bosstick said she most likes to gift thoughtful beauty and wellness gifts on Valentine’s Day. She called her brand’s hero product — the Hot Mess Ice Roller, which is millennial pink — a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for a friend or a family member who is a beauty fan. And it’s worth noting that The Skinny Confidential launched a dry brush in December.
However, when it comes to gifting her partner, Bosstick tends to go for fashionable apparel. “A bomber jacket is the best gift for a guy,” Bosstick said. “If I can’t figure out a gift for my [husband], I always get him a great bomber jacket.” Currently, Bosstick is eyeing a version by the viral quiet luxury brand Loro Piana. “You [can’t go wrong] if you gift it in olive, black or white,” Bosstick said. Thanks to HBO’s final season of its hit show “Succession,” the logoless brand rose to fame among consumers interested in the more subtle side of luxury fashion.

Also for a partner, Bosstick suggested gifting Woo More Play’s Coconut Love Oil. As a bonus, she said, “Coconut oil is great for vaginas because it helps the pH balance.”
