Immigrating to Sweden from Chile, Babba Rivera’s identity plays a large part in her career. In her early 20s, she worked at Uber and launched the service in Stockholm. I became known through both my career and sense of style. I was an early employee at Uber and got listed on the Forbes 30 under 30 list in the field of marketing at age 25. I worked with unicorn brands while running my own brand marketing agency before launching Ceremonia.

Why did you decide to bring a brand into this crowded marketplace?
There was an incredible void in the market for authentic representation of the Latinx community. In addition to being the biggest and fastest-growing minority, it’s also a demographic that spends 46% more on hair-care products than non-Hispanics, yet there weren’t brands authentically representing this group.
