This profile is part of the Glossy Pop Guide to Influencer-Founded Brands, covering the fashion, beauty and wellness companies started by people who built their careers on social media.  More from the series →

Sivan Ayla started her personal blog in 2011. Now, with hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram, she uses her platform to share a realistic approach to everyday luxury. She covers a broad range of topics, from how to make a cocktail to how to decorate a home on a budget. In 2020, Ayla created her body-care brand, Lux Unfiltered, to fill a gap in the luxury tanning market. Lux Unfiltered has since expanded beyond tanning products to include a variety of nourishing body products. With its clean formulas and luxurious fragrances, Lux Unfiltered wants to enhance people’s natural beauty and confidence.

Who: Sivan Ayla Richards (Lux Unfiltered)

Platform: Instagram

What’s the brand: Self-tanning and body-care products

Find it: www.luxunfiltered.com

Why did you decide to bring a brand into this crowded marketplace?
I saw a gap in luxury tanning and in most gradual tanners, in general. Once I was able to achieve a product that checked all the boxes, I knew it would speak for itself!

What makes the brand different?
It is elevated, sophisticated, clean self-tanning and body care, with skin care-grade ingredients. The products not only look aesthetically pleasing on your counter, but they also have a ton of skin-care benefits not found in other self-tanning products on the market.

Fun Fact: The idea to create a self-tanner sparked because people would always ask how I was so tan in my photos. The truth is that I used to edit myself to look tan, so I decided to create the perfect product that would achieve that same color and glow IRL!

Best seller: Nº32 Hydrating Self-Tanning Cream
