One of the original YouTube beauty gurus, Jaclyn Hill has made a lasting impact in the makeup industry. In 2011, she was a self-taught makeup artist at MAC where her clients convinced her to start making YouTube videos. The more Hill explored makeup, the more creative freedom she found. In Hill’s journey, she experimented with countless pigments, formulas and tools, and developed her signature smokey eye, nude lip and blinding highlight makeup combo. With the love for and experience she had in makeup, she created her brand, Jaclyn Cosmetics, in 2016. According to Hill, it’s for every “boss babe” who loves makeup as much as she does.

What are you known for & how did you get your start?
I’ve been sharing my obsession for all things beauty with my subscribers since uploading my first YouTube video in 2010. Over the years, my love for applying makeup grew into a passion for developing formulas, pigments and tools. Just as I share my tips and tricks with my followers, I created Jaclyn Cosmetics to share my products with everyone that loves makeup as much as I do.
What’s the brand? Jaclyn Cosmetics creates aspirational products with a touch of ‘bougieness’ for the beauty junkie who always blends out, never in.

Why did you decide to bring a brand into this crowded marketplace?
After a decade of testing every product under the sun and having partnered with brands to develop products, I funneled my knowledge and deep passion for products into developing my own brand that delivers an expansive range of exceptionally luxe product and a glam experience for all.
