Farah Bashir is a cosmetics formulator, esthetician and beauty writer who has been sharing skin education via her blog and Instagram since 2015. Among other topics, Bashir discusses hyperpigmentation, “well aging,” emotional well-being, cultural awareness and thoughtful beauty. As people became more interested in the ingredients in their skin care, Bashir grew her following by sharing her experiences with different ingredients. In 2021, she launched Sachi Skin, which in Urdu means “grace,” “truth” and “child of joy.” The brand’s name is reflective of its mission of spreading positivity and maintaining transparency.

Briefly, what are you known for/how did you grow your following?

I am a cosmetic formulator, esthetician and beauty writer who has been sharing skin education via my blog and on Instagram since 2015. Where I am mostly known for discussing hyperpigmentation (which led to a free hyperpigmentation e-book)  and the concepts of moving towards new beauty narratives of well ageing, emotional wellbeing, cultural awareness and thoughtful beauty.

I grew my following pretty much at a time when people really wanted to know about ingredients that could drive real change in their skin.

Why did you decide to bring a brand into this crowded marketplace?

Sachi Skin was born out of my frustration for the real lack of options to effectively and safely tackling hyperpigmentation. I have suffered PCOS for over 20 years (which means dark spots post acne) and melasma after both of my pregnancies which has led me to trial and test hundreds of products. I also formulated extensively around skin concerns like hyperpigmentation, acne and scaring with new technologies and heritage botanicals. After years of recommending products that I loved and formulation created I knew it was time to consolidate all the knowledge I had into products optimized for what the online community was asking for. Thoughtful, highly innovative products with good skin ingredients!

What makes the brand different?

Firstly it has to be the formulations, the unique marriage between ancient remedies and some of the most advanced technologies currently available- this helps us create truly phenomenal, innovative, multi taskers. We have people using the Triphala Pigmentation Corrector who have NO pigmentation Concerns whatsoever but they have noticed the well aging benefits and a level of radiance unparalleled to their usual Vitamin C products.

Secondly, our commitment to changing the beauty narrative for more cultural awareness, inclusivity, diversity, representation and championing new philosophies around well ageing over anti aging, skin states over skin types and mental well being for just a happier you!

Best Seller:
Triphala Pigmentation Corrector and this year the Ursolic Acid and Retinal Overnight Reform are creeping up fast!
