While luxury fashion brands have embraced both fur and leather for decades, the last five years saw demand for fur sharply fall off. Brands like Armani, Alexander McQueen, Oscar de la Renta and even conglomerates like Kering all dropped the use of fur. Still, restricting the use of leather is far less common outside brands that are built around sustainability like Stella McCartney and Veja.
