With two nominations, Burberry leads the pack of 2017 Glossy Awards finalists.
The awards, which will be presented for the first time this year, honor the brands, media companies and technology firms currently transforming the fashion, luxury and beauty industries. In all, 60 finalists have been selected across 16 categories, including “Best Breakthrough Startup,” “Best Use of Instagram by a Brand” and “Best In-Store Tech.”
Burberry’s holiday campaign is up for “Best Campaign by a Traditional Fashion Brand,” while its holiday film,”The Tale of Thomas Burberry” — in which Domhnall Gleeson plays the brand’s founder — is up against Tommy Hilfiger’s Tommy x Gigi New York Fashion Week video for “Best Use of Video by a Fashion Campaign.” For its #LoveNotLike Snapchat campaign, which coincided with the launch of its affordable Return to Tiffany Love line, Tiffany & Co. earned a “Best Use of Snapchat by a Brand” nomination. In the beauty category, CoverGirl received a “Best Use of VR/AR by a Beauty Brand” nod for its BeautyU app, which recommends personalized products based on a user’s beauty habits.
Selected by 13 industry judges, the winners will be presented in June, at the Glossy Awards Gala in New York City. Tickets are available now.
